ENERGOPROJEKT-WARSZAWA SA actively participates in works related to recovery and increasing the installed power in Polish electric power industry. For the last several years, the company has been providing numerous consultancy services (such as the Technical Advisor for Investors, siting studies, feasibility studies and technical and economical analyses), which concern the planning of new power units with the output ranging from 400 MW to approx. 1100 MW (fuelled with solid fuel or based on gas turbines). The company activities include the development strategies for the existing power facilities within the next 20-25 years.

Comprehensive analyses

  • information cards and reports on environmental impact assessment of a project (of the scopes compliant with Article 3 subparagraph 1 item 5 of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Law and Article 66 of the EIA Law, respectively) prepared for the purpose of obtaining environmental decisions concerning conditions for power facilities and other projects,
  • reports on environmental impact assessment of a project for environmental impact reassessment referred to in Articles 88-95 of the EIA Law,
  • applications for the issue and change of integrated permits (of the scope compliant with Article 208 of the Environmental Protection Law),
  • ecological reviews (of the scope compliant with Article 238 of the Environmental Protection Law and Article 12 of the Act of 27 September 2013 on amending the geological and mining law), including readiness assessment of power facilities of rated power of at least 300 MWe for CO2 capture,
  • environmental monitoring projects,
  • post-implementation analyses (pursuant to Article 83 of the EIA Law),
  • environmental threat analyses and assessments for privatisation purposes,
  • environmental assessments and analyses for the purpose of power assumptions and programmes, including indication of ecological benefits of power management rationalization,
  • assessment of costs and benefits for the environment in the context of applying for deviations from the emission levels associated with Best Available Techniques (BAT) referred to in Article 15 (4) of Directive 2010/75/EC on industrial emissions,
  • cooperation in development of applications for environmental protection aid funds,
  • assessment of environmental protection requirement satisfaction resulting from Best Available Techniques (BAT) and BAT conclusions including technical and economic analyses to meet the requirements,

 Air protection analyses

  • readiness assessments of power facilities for CO2 capture (pursuant to Article 36 of Directive 2010/75/EC entered into effect by Article 33 of Directive 2009/31/EC and Article 66, subparagraph 1, item 10a included in the EIA Law for projects of rated power of at least 300 MWe),
  • applications for the issue of gas or dust atmospheric emission permits and other air protection analyses (of the scope compliant with Article 222 of the Environmental Protection Law).

 Water and waste sewage analyses

  • water quality impact assessments in the scope required by the Water Law Act (of the scope compliant with Article 132 of the Water Law Act),
  • plant water and waste sewage management analyses/balances if the existing plant systems are modified or new systems are constructed,
  • ground and water environment impact analyses for the existing and new projects,
  • assessment of the planned project concerning the requirements resulting from the water management plan in the river basin area, water region water use conditions, flood risk management plan, drought consequence prevention plan, national programme for municipal sewage treatment.

Waste material and by-product management analyses

  • analyses and conclusions concerning waste material management (of the scope compliant with Article 42 of the Waste Material Act and Article 184 of the Environmental Protection Law),
  • applications for subject or substance approval (e.g. gypsum from FGD plant) as a by-product (of the scope compliant with Articles 10 and 11 of the Waste Material Act).

Noise analyses

  • acoustic analyses and assessments for the existing and planned facilities based on model calculations.

Serious industrial breakdown analyses

  • notifications of plants of increased and high industrial breakdown risk to the appropriate National Fire Service authority (of the scope compliant with Article 250 of the Environmental Protection Law),
  • breakdown prevention programmes (of the scope compliant with Article 251 of the Environmental Protection Law),
  • safety reports (of the scope compliant with Article 253 of the Environmental Protection Law).

Analyses concerning nature protection, Nature 2000 areas, species protected by law

  • natural environment impact assessments of projects and wildlife inventories for the planned investment project areas and for neighbouring areas.

W dniu 9 września 2016r. Energoprojekt-Warszawa SA podpisał umowę z Elektrownią Ostrołęka S.A. na świadczenie usługi Doradcy Technicznego w przygotowaniu i przeprowadzeniu postępowania o udzielenie zamówienia publicznego pt. „Budowa Elektrowni Ostrołęka „C” o mocy ok. 1000MWe”.
